Leeds-based contractor APP Construction has secured over £15m worth of contracts including two new dealerships for car brands Jaguar, Ford and Mazda.
The wins come hot on the heels of the successful completion of a state-of- the-art £6m multi-franchise facility housing Vauxhall, Mazda and Kia for Perry’s in Preston.
APP’s new contracts will see the construction team start work this month at Crewe Gateway for Swansway on a £5m Jaguar dealership, due for completion in mid-January 2017, and next month in Nottingham for Midlands-based Sandicliffe Motors on a £5m Ford & Mazda showroom.
APP Director John White commented: “We’ve seen strong demand from the automotive sector for some time now and we’re confident that securing these latest schemes will further raise our profile with the bigger dealers and franchises.”
August also sees APP commence work in Sheffield for student accommodation owner and operator Empiric on a £4m seven storey 63 bedroom scheme due for completion in time for the new student intake in autumn 2017.

Skoda has started rolling out a new corporate look across its dealer network as the brand targets another record year for its UK sales.
The new look has already been adopted by around 20 sites, with the brand aiming to complete the process across all 134 showrooms by the end of the year.
The new look pitches the brand more upmarket with an exterior feature wall and each showroom required to have a dedicated customer hand-over area.
As part of the process some dealers have been required to move to larger premises capable of displaying seven cars.
The move reflects the brand’s ambitious volume aspirations which have seen five successive years of growth which culminated with a 14% rise in 2014 and a target to break through the 76,000 barrier in 2015.
APP has now moved on to tendering for Bradford, Scarborough, Mansfield and Birmingham – Fingers Crossed!!!
More than a thousand people turned out for the opening of car dealer group Sandicliffe’s new Ford Store in Leicester.
The Welford Road store is the first of its kind in the Midlands.
Sandicliffe has invested £1.5 million in the new Ford Store which mirrors similar dealerships in Spain and Germany.
Featuring a new car and commercial vehicle showroom over two floors, a parts and servicing centre and a wide choice of used cars, the building is a brand new concept for Ford in the UK.
Reg Tutt, Sandicliffe managing director, said: “Over the last year we’ve made a significant investment in our Leicester site to create the Ford Store; a totally new car buying concept.”
It is one of the first such centres in the UK and gives customers an interactive experience.
Andy Barratt, Ford of Britain’s sales director, called the new Sandicliffe Ford Store “simply the most impressive Ford dealership I have ever visited.”
